What if your intimate cocoon became mobile, leaving zero footprint on the environment? Catalia is an exceptional vessel, 100% electric and fully self-sufficient in energy. Here, there is no engine noise and no smell of fuel. Only the gentle lapping of the water accompanies your stay.

To offer you a total disconnection, your overnight stay does not take place at your usual mooring. Your reservation automatically includes a short private navigation:

• The Evening Escape (30 min): The departure time adapts to your pace! You will set it directly with your captain on the day of your arrival (taking into account the lock opening hours). Together, you will pass through the gates of Castets-et-Castillon to leave the port behind.

• Total Seclusion: The boat is moored in the heart of nature (just past the first lock, or much further down the canal if you have chosen an extended navigation option). Your skipper then leaves you in complete privacy and heads back to the port... on an electric bike via the greenway! A 100% gentle and silent logistical setup, leaving you to enjoy the night under the shade of century-old plane trees. (Note: During lock closure periods, your cocoon will be moored within the port boundaries, but carefully positioned away from other boats to preserve your absolute peace and quiet).

• The Morning Return: The next morning, at the agreed time, your captain will rejoin you to gently navigate the boat back to the port.

To make your stay truly unforgettable, add an extended navigation option to explore the canal before your skipper drops you off at your exclusive mooring spot for the night. These rates include the electric navigation, the skipper, as well as gourmet extras for 2 people.

• 🌅 The Golden Hour — 2-hour cruise

  The most magical moment on the canal. Embark at the end of the day to enjoy the exceptional low-angle light and flamboyant reflections on the water. It is the ideal setting to savor The Captain's Aperitif (a beautiful board of our regional products accompanied by a local wine), served directly on the deck during your cruise before returning to port for the night.

• 🌿 The Nature Escape — Half-day (4 hours)

  Take the time to explore the treasures of the Greenway from the water. A gentle, 100% clean navigation to discover the river heritage, typical locks, and local wildlife, which will not be disturbed by our passing. To enhance this exploration, The Captain's Aperitif (regional board and local wine) will also be served on board during a pastoral break.

• 🚢 The Grand Canal Immersion — Full day (7 hours)

  Become the masters of the canal for an entire day. This exclusive package allows you to experience the true life of a freshwater sailor to the rhythm of solar energy. Pass through the locks, drop anchor in a wild spot, and savor a Chic & Terroir Picnic (included in your package) for an idyllic lunch on the water.

How does it work? What if you took the helm?

• Your private captain :

  Either I myself or our experienced skipper will take the helm to ensure a smooth ride. While we’ll handle most of the maneuvering so you can relax, passing through the locks might be a chance for you to lend a hand... The perfect opportunity to get a taste, if only for a moment, of real sailing maneuvers!

• Take the helm (Introduction):
Have you always dreamed of piloting a next-generation houseboat? After an introduction to navigation rules and a tour of the electric controls, your captain (myself or our trusted skipper) will gladly hand you the helm. You’ll then be able to steer the vessel safely, under his watchful and supportive eye.
• For experienced captains (Autonomous navigation):

  Do you have your inland waterway license and solid experience on navigable waterways? Since the layout of our home port requires excellent, immediate control, this option is reserved for seasoned skippers. After a thorough technical briefing on board with the captain, you’ll be able to navigate completely on your own.

• Booking:

  To ensure that a skipper is available during your stay (and subject to favorable weather conditions), we strongly recommend that you add your sailing option as soon as you confirm your reservation.
